Dallas
Ignition makes its home in an award winning 27,000 sq-ft, custom-designed facility in one of the country’s leading technology centers within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. JOB OPPORTUNITIES

TITLE:  Sales Manager

STATUS:  Full time, exempt, salary.

GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:  This is a full time sales position that reports to the Director of Sales, US.  The primary role of this position is to generate quality, profitable revenue. This position requires a solid understanding of business development and strong selling skills.  The Sales Manager will be calling on Engineering and Marketing VPs, Design Directors and CEOs of global fortune 1,000 companies.  Target clients are major brands, OEMs and ODMs in the consumer electronics, consumer appliances, transportation, medical equipment and commercial equipment industries.  This position carries a quota.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  Outbound sales and new customer acquisition, including lead generation, presentations, proposal writing, negotiation and closing.

Approximately 30% – 40% travel in the US. 
Candidates must be able to:

  • Develop annual sales plan and specific tactical activities to achieve sales quota.
  • Self generate new opportunities from prospects and partners
  • Penetrate identified target markets
  • Forecast revenue, and consistently meet and exceed revenue and profitability objectives in multiple industry sectors.
  • Deliver effective presentations that convey the value of Ignition.
  • Work directly with product development team to write compelling proposals that respond to customer needs and win business.
  • Demonstrate ability to apply appropriate strategies to close the sale.
  • Work with internal account and project managers to track and follow-up on clients and projects.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:  Candidate must have 5+ years of highly successful field sales experience in design and/or product development (minimum of 3+ years managing to quota) and a proven ability to develop effective partnerships.  Ability to write compelling proposals is a must!  
* Proof of earnings (W-2) and a verifiable history of attaining quota is required. 
Experience in the consumer electronics, consumer appliances, transportation, medical equipment and commercial equipment industries, is desired. 

EDUCATION:   Marketing, Business, Design or Engineering degree is required, MBA is preferred.
