In that time, we’ve developed and nurtured a unique "Heuristic Culture." Not because we are geniuses with a master plan, but because we are naturally curious people who like to see things from different points of view.
So what exactly is a "Heuristic Culture?"
Heuristics is an approach to learning and problem-solving. It comes from the same Greek word that gives us "eureka - I’ve found it!" It’s a way of getting to an unexpected answer by letting the answer to one question stimulate the next question and so on, and so on. It gets better when the people asking the questions bring substantially different perspectives to the table - right brain and left brain, divergent and convergent thinking, creative and analytical.
That’s what we mean by Heuristic Culture. We bring the people together who have those different perspectives. And we create an environment where they can build on each others’ expertise and passion.
When this is applied to the design process, we end up with better solutions. We avoid gravitating to the first, most obvious answer or designing in circles in search of a non-existent problem. We repeatedly expand and distill the pool of ideas until we reach the right solution. We apply it whether we’re discovering opportunities for new product categories or designing for manufacturability.

Following an initial consultation and project assessment, Ignition delivers a proposal outlining scope, required services and fees. More extensive or ambitious programs may require a paid engagement to fully define and scope the project.
